EVRAZ HIGHVELD GIVES FORMAL NOTICE IN TERMS OF SECTION 189                      
Evraz Highveld has given formal notice in terms of section 189 of the Labour    
Relations Act of possible retrenchments on 4 May 2012. Formal consultations with
employee representatives will commence on 9 May 2012, which will be facilitated 
by the CCMA.                                                                    
This process, together with labour restructuring, forms part of Evraz Highveld's
comprehensive fixed cost reduction plan.
