CHANGES IN DIRECTORATE
In compliance with Section 3.59 of the Listing Requirements of the JSE
Limited, shareholders are hereby notified that Mr John Newbury retired from
the board at MMI's annual general meeting that was held on 26 November
2012. He was first appointed to the Metropolitan board in 1993. The board
appreciates his valuable contribution over the past 19 years and wishes him
well in his retirement.

Ms Ngao Motsei, group executive: strategic human resources at MMI, has been
appointed as an executive director on the MMI board with effect from 26
November 2012.
